Horse Racing Meetings Courses And Tracks

Horse Racing Meetings/ Courses - Introduction

There are lots of courses, venues and tracks where Horse Racing takes place in the UK and Ireland. They are divided into Flat Courses, Jumps Courses, and the All Weather Tracks. Some courses offer more than one type of Horse Racing with Lingfield offering all three!!

Horse Racing Meetings/ Courses - Hospitality

Most of the Horse Racing Courses offer some great hospitality suites and even hotel quality accomodation. Horse Racing Meetings provide for a great day out, as well as being an important part of the social calendar e.g. "Ladies Day" at the Royal Ascot Meeting, where all the ladies are expected to turn out in their best outfits is a great fashion show in itself!! The Queen also attends carried by her Royal Carriage carried on horseback, which is televised and great to watch

Horse Racing Meetings/ Courses - Travel

Horse Racing Meetings do attract large crowds of spectators and so there are always problems with travelling to a Race Venue. The best advise is always to leave plenty of time for your journey and plan to arrive in plenty of time - that way you will not be disappointed. There are plenty of cafes, restauraunts, buffet cars, bangers and chips style food outlets so you will not be left out on a limb while waiting for the Horse Racing to start
